Dubai-based interiors contractor Depa Ltd (DEPA.DI) bought Singapore's Design Studio Manufacturer (DESS.SI) for 295 million dirhams ($109 million), as it looks to diversify its revenues and expand abroad.
Depa recently increased its stake in the furniture manufacturer to 90.5% from 24.7% having bought its first stake in 2006, it said in a statement on Saturday.
Depa said on Thursday it made a loss of 103.6 million dirhams in the first half of year due to an outstanding claim relating to Burj Khalifa, the world's tallest tower in Dubai.
