Singapore’s Straits Times Index was little changed at 2,930.18 as of 9:58 a.m. local time. Three stocks dropped for each that rose on the 30-member gauge.

Shares on the measure trade at 14.2 times estimated earnings, compared with about 17.4 times at the beginning of the year, according to Bloomberg data. The following shares were among the most active in the market. 
 
Commodity suppliers: Shares of commodity suppliers advanced after the prices of coffee and copper gained in New York yesterday.

Noble Group (NOBL SP), a Hong Kong-based supplier of commodities from copper to corn, climbed 0.6% to $1.61. Olam International (OLAM SP), a Singapore-based supplier of agricultural commodities, rose 0.4% to $2.55.
 
Land transport operators: Singapore’s public transport operators will lose $88 million in fare revenue annually after the government changed a system on how such fees are calculated, Transport Minister Raymond Lim said yesterday.
 
ComfortDelgro Corp. (CD SP), the biggest operator of taxis and buses in Singapore, was unchanged on $1.55. SMRT Corp. (MRT SP), the city-state’s biggest commuter train operator, declined 1.9% to $2.06.
 
Shipping companies: The Baltic Dry Index of commodity- shipping rates rose 0.8% in London yesterday, taking its eight-day advance to 27%.
 
Cosco Corp. Singapore (COS SP), a China-based shipbuilder that also operates bulk carriers, rose 0.6% to $1.58. STX Pan Ocean Co. (STX SP), South Korea’s biggest bulk carrier, gained 1.4% to $14.40.
 
ASL Marine Holdings (ASL SP), a Singapore-based shipbuilder, advanced 2.3% to 88 cents. The company said it won shipbuilding contracts valued at $55 million.
