Silverlake Axis says it has entered into a business collaboration agreement with Hitachi Information Systems (HIS), for the development and outsourcing of various financial and distribution systems.
Under the agreement, Silverlake Axis and HIS will form a business collaboration relationship to provide system architecture, network services and outsourcing services through Silverlake Japan (SJL), a fully-owned subsidiary of SAL, to prospective Japanese customers.
Both parties will enter into a memorandum in due course setting out their respective roles in the development, customisation, licensing of software and hardware sales as well as provision of network and outsourcing services of customer’s systems for banking, credit card, loan, distribution, airlines and transportation segments.
The agreement is valid for 3 years with effective from 4 August and is renewable yearly after its expiry.
HIS supports the business needs of its customers by harnessing vast knowledge of IT systems and know-how from a wide variety of business fields. Today, HIS’ new business fields include System Operation to offer outsourcing and network services, System Integration to integrate systems and develop software, as well as Equipment and Supplies Sales to support the above services.
SJL is a member of the Silverlake Group. It provides system and business outsourcing services as a resource-sharing third-party processor for credit card companies and banks in Japan. By capitalising on the network of the Silverlake Group, SJL is able to deliver innovative solutions for financial institutions in Japan to expand their business and set up disaster recovery centers overseas.
