Creative Technology narrows 4Q loss to $15.8m

Creative Technology, the consumer electronics maker whose music players compete with Apple Inc.’s iPod, posted a fourth-quarter net loss of US$11.7 million ($15.8 million), from US$14 million in the same period last year.
 
The Singapore-based company reported revenue of US$59.2 million for the quarter, down from US$86.1 million in the fourth quarter of 2009.
 
The company’s full-year loss was US$38.8 million, from a US$137.9 million loss in the previous year. Full-year revenue was US$275.3 million, down from US$466.1 million last year, it said today in a statement to the Singapore Exchange.
