SembCorp Marine (SMM SP): The world’s second-biggest builder of oil rigs said second-quarter profit rose 28% to $176.1 million from a year earlier. SembCorp Marine slipped 1% to $4.04.
ST Engineering (STE SP): Asia’s biggest aircraft maintenance company said second-quarter profit increased 14% from to $124 million from a year earlier. ST Engineering was unchanged at $3.26.
CapitaMalls Asia (CMA SP): The owner of shopping malls in China, India, Malaysia and Singapore said second-quarter profit dropped 24% to $113.1 million from a year earlier. CapitaMalls was unchanged at $2.16.
China Aviation Oil (Singapore) Corp. (CAO SP): China’s biggest supplier of jet fuel said second-quarter profit climbed 53% to US$18.1 million ($24.4 million) from a year earlier. The stock rose 0.7% to $1.49.
Hiap Seng Engineering (HSE SP): The provider of engineering services to the petroleum and petrochemical industries said its unit won a $17.8 million supply contract from an unidentified customer in the Middle East. Hiap Seng was unchanged at 67.5 cents.
Noble Group (NOBL SP): The Hong Kong-based commodities supplier said it has agreed to sell its stake in Queensland’s Middlemount coal mine for A$437.5 million ($416 million) to its Australian unit Gloucester Coal (GCL AU). Noble will receive A$337.5 million cash and A$100 million in new Gloucester Coal shares. Noble was unchanged at $1.68.
