Mainboard-listed United Envirotech, the membrane-based water and wastewater treatment solutions provider, says its subsidiary in China, Novo Envirotech (Guangzhou) Co Ltd, secured a RMB30 million ($6.1 million) contract to supply its Membrane Bio-reactor (MBR) system for the Phase II of the existing MBR wastewater treatment plant in Taixing Chemical Industrial Park located at Jiangsu Province, China.

The project is expected to complete within FY2011 and positively impact the group’s FY2011 performance.

The group first upgraded the Phase I of the MBR wastewater plant in 2008 with a design capacity of 30,000 cubic metres per day. After two years of successful operation, the Taixing Municipal Government decided to proceed with Phase II of the MBR project, which has a design capacity of 40,000 cubic metres per day. The combined capacity of 70,000 cubic metres per day for this plant is regarded as one of the largest treatment plants using MBR for an industrial park in Asia.
