The board of directors of Teledata (Singapore) says that following an internal review by the board, the company has terminated the services of Christopher Michael Pan as the company’s Chief Executive Officer with immediate effect on the grounds that he has committed acts “tending to bring the company and/or himself into disrepute”, according to an SGX statement.
The company is presently looking at suitable replacements to fill the vacant position of Chief Executive Officer and will make further announcements once a suitable candidate has been identified.
On May 5, the company announced that Pan has taken a leave of absence with effect from 1 May 2010 to 2 June 2010 for personal reasons, relinquishing his position.
The board said it would also review the company’s various lines of businesses and its regional operations, with a view to regaining leadership in its key business areas and rationalising costs and operations.
At the same time, the board will actively explore all opportunities to enhance stakeholder value, including but not limited to strategic mergers, acquisitions and investments.
