Renewable Energy Asia Group (REA), formerly known as Superior Fastening Technology, has secured a concession to develop a green energy park in Zhenglanqi, Inner Mongolia.

Under the terms of the concession, REA Group will spearhead the formation of a consortium to construct a wind farm of up to 250 megawatts (MW) in capacity within the green energy park.

Also contained within the park will be a solar energy farm and a bio-fuel plant, which together with the wind farm will be capable of generating as much as 285MW of electrical power, and reducing more than 500,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide emission annually.

The green energy park is expected to be completed in five years’ time.
