OKP Holdings, one of the leading infrastructure and civil engineering firms, has sealed two deals with the Land Transport Authority.
The projects were awarded to OKP’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Eng Lam Contractors Co (Pte) Ltd, for ad hoc repairs, maintenance and upgrading of roads, road-related facilities and road structures in the Central and North-West Sectors.
The types of road structures involved in these projects include flyovers, viaducts, vehicular bridges, underpasses, pedestrian overhead bridges, bus stops and taxi stand shelters and related facilities.
The Central Sector would include areas such as Ang Mo Kio GRC, Bishan-Toa Payoh GRC, Tanjong Pagar GRC and Jalan Besar GRC while the North- West Sector would include areas such as Sembawang GRC, Holland-Bukit Panjang GRC, Nee Soon Central SMC and Nee Soon East SMC.
The contracts will start in May 2010 and last till August 2013.
As at 5 May 2010, the group’s order book stood at $306.1 million with projects lasting up to 2013.
For its financial year ended 31 December 2009, OKP achieved a net profit after tax and minority interest of $14.4 million, up 52% from the previous financial year, and turned in a record revenue of $130.0 million.
