Sands CEO: potential for Vegas-style strip in Europe

Las Vegas Sands (LVS.N), the world’s most valuable casino firm, would consider building a Las Vegas-style casino strip in Europe if the opportunity arose, CEO Sheldon Adelson said on Wednesday. 

Adelson told a business lunch in Singapore the Las Vegas-strip business model, which married casino gaming with conventions and leisure, had potential and could be replicated in other parts of the world. 
 
Sands on Tuesday opened its Marina Bay Sands casino in Singapore, starting a new front in the competition for Asia’s gaming dollar.
