Yong Xin chairman Pu killed by attacker

Yong Xin International Holdings, the high precision steel strips manufacturer in China, says the group’s Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Pu Dexing, died on March 4 after being attacked in his office and succumbing to his injuries. The attacker has been arrested by the Chinese police and the case is currently under investigation.

Pu Yongfa, the late CEO’s father, will take over the post of Group Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, as well as Chairman and General Manager of Yong Xin’s two China subsidiaries, namely Yongxin Precision Material (Wuxi) Co. and Xuzhou Yongsheng Coking Trading Co. Meanwhile, Pu Xiaofang, his daughter, will be appointed as the new Executive Director of the group.

Pu Yongfa was the co-founder of Yongxin Precision Material. He has over 30 years of professional experience in metallurgy and corporate management. He has founded several enterprises such as zinc-plated plant, moulding plant and tin-plated steel strips plant since 1980. He is now the General Manager of Xishan zinc-plated plant and Senior Consultant in technical and management of Jiangsu Huguang Steel Pipe Plant Co., Ltd.

Pu Xiaofang graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Melbourne, Australia. Previously, she worked as a management trainee with Standard Chartered Bank in Shanghai, China.
