China Environment, the provider of waste gas treatment systems, has secured a RMB58.2 million ($12.1 million) contract through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Fujian Dongyuan Environmental Protection Co., with Shanxi Province Electric Company Electric Environmental Equipment Main Factory (Shanxi Electric), to provide Electrostatic Precipitators (ESP) for a 2x 660MW thermal power project.

The contract involves the design, construction and installation of four units of ESPs for the thermal power project located at Ma’anshan in Anhui Province. This is the first time that Fujian Dongyuan successfully secured a project to construct ESPs for a 2x 660MW thermal power project. The project will start by the end of this month and is expected to be completed by end February 2011.

China Environment designs and constructs waste gas treatment systems and its key products include ESPs including Electrostatic Lentoid Precipitators or ESLPs, baghouses and hybrid dust collectors. ESPs are de-dusting facilities that use electrostatic forces to separate dust from waste gas emitted by the power generation, cement, mining and chemical industries.
