Swiber Holdings and partner wins $264m contract for well-head engineering project

Swiber Holdings, the offshore oil and gas construction and support services provider, says the company and a consortium partner won a contract from a leading oil and gas operator in South Asia worth US$188.8 million ($264 million).

The project comprises full EPCIC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Installation, and Commissioning) on multiple well-head platforms. The work will start immediately and is scheduled to be completed by 2Q of 2011.

As at December 2009, Swiber operates a fleet of 45 vessels comprising of 35 offshore vessels and 10 construction vessels, with 80% of its fleet younger than 4 years old. The group also has one of the largest teams of divers to provide subsea diving services.
