Boustead Singapore says its energy-related engineering division has secured $68 million in contracts from the oil & gas industries globally.

The contracts involve the design, engineering and construction of key process equipment for oil refineries, petrochemical and gas processing plants in Australia, Brazil, Saudi Arabia and the United Kingdom.

Wong Fong Fui, Chairman and Group Chief Executive Officer of Boustead, says the contracts came shortly after Boustead Projects secured a $107 million contract to design-and-build an integrated facility for a world leading power systems corporation on Dec 22.

The above contracts, which have raised Boustead’s order book to $500 million, are expected to have a positive material impact on the profitability and earnings per share of the company in the next financial year ending March 31, 2011.
