DON'T miss Dick Lee's Beauty Kings, a new production starring Lim Yu-beng, Rodney Oliveiro, Judee Tan, Karen Tan, Kaeng Chan and Eli Tee. Inspired by the tainted history of Singapore male beauty pageants in the nineties of molest and sexual harassment charges, audience members get to vote for their favourite contestant and determine the outcome of the show.

THURSDAY, JULY 7

WATCH Larry Crowne (opens on July 7 by Shaw), a comedy starring Tom Hanks who also takes on directing duties. It tells of a superstar team leader at the big-box company who is suddenly retrenched and decides to go back to school. There, he finds reason to believe in a better future for himself when he meets his teacher, whom he develops a crush on. Also stars Julia Roberts and Wilmer Valderrama.

ENJOY The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber, featuring hits from 14 of his musicals, all in one night! The world-famous composer has given musical fans unforgettable tunes from Evita, The Phantom of the Opera, Cats, Jesus Christ Superstar, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and more. Directed by one of Australia's leading directors, Stuart Maunder.

JOIN the Little Singers of Monaco, dubbed as "the little singing ambassadors of Monaco", who returns to town with a programme of diverse choral works from the Renaissance and sacred music to Gregorian singing and secular songs. The 31-strong choir comes under the patronage of HSH Prince Albert II.

CATCH Nederlands Dans Theater I in a double bill, Mémoires d’Oubliettes and Sehnsucht. The contemporary dance group performs Jiří Kylián’s last dance creation for NDT as resident choreographer, Mémoires d’Oubliettes, which explores the connection between memory and the state of being. Sehnsucht is by NDT’s resident choreographers, Paul Lightfoot and Sol León.
